Discovery Bible Study Method
Study
- Read the passage of scripture 2-3 times (try reading a different translations like NIV,NLT,CSB,ESV)
- Retell the passage in your own words (write it down in a journal)
Ask yourself these questions:
- What do I learn about God/Jesus from this passage
- What do I learn about God’s plan for humanity
- What do I learn about humanity/myself
Application:
As followers of Jesus we consider the Bible to be authoritative, let’s ask ourselves how we will practice obedience by coming up with an I will statement to apply to the passage in our daily lives.
